How to Use a Sensor
When you purchase a Smart Plant package with your Vince Hagan Concrete Batching Plant, an array of sensors are installed on various components of the plant. These sensors are used to monitor: Acceleration & Temperature.
This gives your team visibility into plant performance and possible maintenance needed.
Asset Sensors
Sensors can be accessed by navigating to an Asset and then clicking the green Senors icon ().
The User will be taken to a screen listing all of the available sensors on the Asset. The Sensor naming convention is as follows: #### – Location. The #### representating digits from the MFG Serial Number and the Location of the sensor on the Asset.
When a Sensor is clicked on, the User will be presented information about the Sensor including location and serial numbers, Measurement Type, and Alert History.
Sensor Data
When the User clicks on Acceleration or Temperature under Measurement Type, they will be presented with a chart of collected data. That chart represents 24 hours worth of collected data as Sensors run every hour, on the hour, to collect data at that time.
Set Sensor Thresholds
To set a threshold to trigger an Alert, navigate to Asset > Sensors > Specific Sensor > Measurement Type > Set Sensor Thresholds
Temperature: Slide the bars on the High and Low range to trigger an Alert when Sensor data reaches that threshold.
Acceleration: Slide the bar to trigger an Alert when Sensor data reaches a % of Gravity threshold.
